China Representative Office |
The simplest and least expensive method of establishing your company's business presence and operations in China is to register a foreign representative office for your company. Although the process may seem a bit involved by our US standards, it is by far the simplest way to create your company's office in China.
Foreign Rep offices are suitable for company's wishing to explore the China market, establish manufacturing or distribution alliances, handle payment to factories and logistics providers, and oversee other activities of interest. However Rep offices are not permitted to deal in foreign currencies, make direct investment in China or to generate income within China. And they are restricted from many business activities better suited to JV's and WFOE'S.
WTG has created such representative offices for itself and helped other companies do the same. Although the process also requires the assistance of a local attorney and accountant, our selected Chinese professionals work closely with our WTG-China office to obtain and process required company documentation, US State government certifications, Chinese Consulate authentications and other information needed to obtain Chinese local government licensing and formal registration. And we also help create your banking set-up and your necessary representation by a Chinese accountant for the required periodic audits and reporting of finances. WTG can also assist in locating suitable offices for your company in any major city, as well as helping to hire your company's Chinese staff and create mandated labor and insurance contracts.
If your company is considering establishing its own office in China, contact us for more information.
